As the only backwards integrated ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) manufacturer, Dyneema® can be manipulated at the molecular level - creating extremely long molecular chains that more effectively transfer load to the polymer backbone . This also means no dependencies on foreign material, no supply chain disruptions and increased quality oversight.
Dyneema® unidirectional (UD) material is layered together at 90-degree angles for maximum strength. This results in a ballistic material that which can deform to catch a bullet, then absorb and disperse the force, minimizing back-face deformation to ensure low body trauma. Users get multi-hit performance, including edge shots and angle shots that meet NIJ requirements.
